Basic Emergency Supplies
- Water-at least 1 gallon per person per day for at least 3 days
- Food that won’t spoil and doesn’t need to be cooked
- Can opener (manual), paper plates, plastic utensils
- Medications, prescription and non-prescription
- File of LifeĀ© listing medications and emergency contacts
- First aid kit
- Battery-powered radio with extra batteries
- Flashlight and extra batteries
- Light sticks (also known as glow sticks)
- Extra pet food and water for pets
